Marsha's New Kidney Medical Fund

Donation protected
Many of you may not know this...Marsha Kesselring was born with only one kidney. At the age of 23, her only kidney shriveled up to the size of a dime, requiring her to start dialysis. She was on treatments until the Fall of 1999 when her Mother completed all the testing and was a 3 out of a 5 match! This meant she was a good enough match to donate one of her kidneys. In December of 1999 Marsha received her first kidney transplant. Her Mother's kidney outlasted the normal timeframe of a live donor, which is 10-15 years, and lived a 18 good year life in Marsha. Unfortunately, Marsha had to start dialysis treatments once again in 2016. She travels 160 miles round trip 3 times a week.

That's where Sadie enters the picture. Marsha met Sadie when they both attended MOPS (Mothers of Preschoolers) about 7 years ago. Sadie started working at Marsha's local hospital as a Phlebotomist. Sadie would draw Marsha's blood every month for transplant draws. They continued to stay friends even after Sadie moved away.

After learning of Marsha's current health status, Sadie privately went through the steps to be tested to see if she would be a match for Marsha. Low and behold, the stars aligned just right and she received the good news that she is a match for Marsha! God is GOOD!

Fast forward to now, the kidney transplant will take place June 22, 2017, which will require Marsha and Sadie to stay close to the hospital after the transplant. They will take at least 6 weeks to heal, which means staying close to the hospital for daily check-ups.

We are looking to raise $4,000 for these expenses for Marsha (Sadie has a Gofundme page for her separate expenses: https://www.gofundme.com/sadieskidney2marsha)

Please consider giving to this fighter of a woman, Marsha, a loving wife and mother, and support her along this journey that we are all confident will end in two healthy Mamas going on to live their lives to the fullest!

Alternatively, an account has been set up at Points West Community Bank if people want to donate to Marsha there instead of this Gofundme page. They can write checks either to Marsha Kesselring or the transplant fund.

Thank you for your time and consideration, it means the world to these families whose lives are forever changed by giving and receiving the gift of life...a second chance.
