Everyone, meet my grandson Marcellus. I like to refer to him as Mars. On October 21st, he was diagnosed with Stage 4 Embryonal Rhabdomyosarcoma. He is currently being treated with chemo and will soon receive radiation in addition to the chemo.
Embryonal rhabdomyosarcoma (ERMS) is a type of childhood cancer that originates from cells that would normally develop into skeletal muscles. It most commonly affects children in the head and neck area, genital region, or urinary tract. It is considered the most prevalent form of rhabdomyosarcoma in children, often diagnosed in young children, and requires early detection and treatment for the best prognosis. Roughly 3% of childhood cancer is this particular cancer.
Mars' parents need help with the costs incurred from all things associated with his care and treatment.
