Help Marrissa with Surgery Costs

Hi. I'm Andrea. I'm Marrissa's mother. I'm setting up this GoFundMe to help Marrissa with the costs of her medical bills and upcoming surgery.

Marrissa is an adventurous, kind, loving 22-year-old. In mid-February 2025, Marrissa was on her way home from work riding a mini bike. The back tire of the bike blew while she was riding on the side of the street. This caused Marrissa to be thrown from the bike, scraping her right elbow and injuring her right knee. She was taken by ambulance to the nearest ER. They did X-rays. Fortunately, nothing was broken. They gave her a brace, crutches, and some pain medication.

A couple of weeks later, Marrissa was able to be seen by an orthopedic doctor. The doctor ordered an MRI. At the follow-up appointment, the doctor said she will need surgery. Right knee arthroscopy , ACL reconstruction with quadriceps autograft,lateral menisus depair. Surgery is tentatively scheduled for Wednesday, April 9th, 2025. It may be postponed due to the need for finances that need to be paid upfront.

Since the incident, Marrissa has been out of work at the Holiday Inn Express as a kitchen breakfast attendant.

We don't know how much her insurance will cover for the surgery. The amount she receives through your donation will go towards her upcoming surgery, physical therapy, and any outstanding bills that she has to pay out of pocket from this incident.
