I am 34 years old, living with my wife and child, and facing stage one kidney failure and diabetes. My doctors have recommended a kidney and pancreas transplant, which means I’ll be out of work for three months while I recover. This is a major surgery, and I’m scared, but it’s my wish to finally live a somewhat ordinary life—no more shots, no more worrying about my sugar, and no more limitations on my physical activity.
I’ve been diabetic since I was thirteen. Both my parents have passed away, and now my son and I are the last of our bloodline. My grandmother on my father’s side also died from diabetes, so this disease has deeply affected my family. The funds raised will help cover my medicine and support my family while I’m unable to work, making sure we can stay afloat during this difficult time.
I’m asking for your help and support as we face this journey. Your generosity will give me the chance to recover and provide for my family, and hopefully, to live a normal life without the constant worry that diabetes brings. Thank you for reading my story and considering a donation.
