Help Marlon with his double lung transplant.

Hello, this is Laz and Naty Gomez and we are fundraising for our nephew Marlon Chavarria Jr. Marlon is a fun loving, kind and humble young man who is loved and cherished by all who know him. He has a passion for music and was recently coaching and mentoring youth soccer students.

In Mid-May, Marlon who is 23 years old, was diagnosed with Covid 19. When symptoms didn't improve, Marlon was transported to the hospital via ambulance. Shortly after, his parents were notified that he had Covid Pneumonia and that his oxygen levels were low. After several weeks in the ER and a variety of treatments attempted, Marlon's lungs were still deteriorating leading to Pulmonary Fibrosis, an irreversible hardening of lung tissue that prevents proper oxygen flow. He was then moved to the ICU in critical condition. Five days ago, Marlon's oxygen levels dropped even lower which prompted doctors to intubate him. He suffered two collapsed lungs and is still breathing through a ventilator. Due to Marlon's age and no other known health issues, Marlon is a good candidate and now is on a wait list for a double lung transplant. The past couple of weeks have been a nightmare for our family. Marlon's parents are now on standby awaiting notice for when Marlon could be airlifted from Jackson Memorial in Miami to UF Health Hospital in Gainesville, FL. for his lung surgery. Marlon has a long road to recovery and his Mom and Dad have had to drop everything in order to care for and support their only beloved son. The emotional and financial burden that has now fallen on this family is unimaginable. We ask for your prayers and any form of support that could be spared.
