Hi, this is Emiliano from 3C. On Sunday March 5th, Marlon was commuting to work and had an accident on his scooter at Fulton + Clermont. A pedestrian stepped out onto the street from between two parked cars and Marlon had no way of avoiding them. One of our residents took him to the hospital close to his home (thanks Omar!), but Marlon suffered a broken collarbone and a pelvic fracture. He is still in the hospital but in relatively good spirits.

In the short term, Marlon will need physical therapy to get him to the point he can support his weight and be independent enough to get home to continue his recovery. Longer term, it will be several weeks before his fractures have healed enough to be fully mobile and pain-free.

Marlon will be out of work for several weeks (best guess at this point is 10 weeks). Royale (our doorman vendor) will provide some sick days, but certainly not the entire recovery time. Marlon will need logistical help (ubers, etc), therapy, hospital visits, etc. All of this will impact him financially, so any donation amount will go a long way. We all appreciate him very much and want him to feel supported during this time. I'm sure we all wish him a speedy recovery!!
