Hello, my name is Deatrice, and I’m reaching out on behalf of my beloved uncle, Marlin Forward.

Just a few days ago, our family’s world was turned upside down. Marlin was the victim of a horrific and unimaginable act of violence. A woman he had been dating for a few months doused him in gasoline and set him on fire. This act of cruelty has left him with severe third-degree burns covering much of his body.

Marlin was rushed by medical helicopter to the Burn Center in Galveston, where he is now receiving intensive care. The road ahead is long and uncertain he faces multiple surgeries, painful treatments, and months of recovery. But beyond the physical pain, Marlin is now burdened with the heavy weight of medical bills, lost income, and the devastating reality that he is unable to work or support himself during this time.

Marlin is more than just a victim of a senseless act he’s a brother, an uncle, and a kind-hearted man who did not deserve what happened to him. Our family is doing everything we can, but we’re reaching out to our community, friends, and compassionate strangers to ask for help.
