Help Marley Study and Spread the Gospel

Hello. My name is Marley Love. Until today, I have been studying Japanese for almost a year and a half.

While studying Theology at International Baptist College and Seminary in Chandler, Arizona, I began to grow an interest in the Japanese language.

I started looking for Christian music in Japanese, but couldn't find what I wanted. That's when I learned that the percentage of Christians in Japan is less than 1%.

Since then, it has become my goal to finish my Theology degree at the only accredited Christian college in Japan: Tokyo Christian University.

I would be lying if I said I was happy to be making this GoFundMe. In all honesty, I'm a bit embarrassed.

It all stems from a complicated financial issue. To put it simply, because Japan's accreditation system is different than the United States', I am unable to qualify for any private or federal student loans while being enrolled at TCU.

Furthermore, Japan's laws require that the trimester be paid in full before it begins. That deadline is May 23rd.

It is because I failed to research the aforementioned facts that I am in this situation. Frankly, it's my fault.

This whole time that I've been studying Japanese and preparing for the move, I was thinking, "When the time comes, I will get the student loans I need just like normal, and everything will be fine." I was mistaken. That's also my fault.

My goal in finishing my degree at Tokyo Christian University is to learn how to accurately communicate the Gospel in Japanese, and to make music for the 99% who are not Christian. Music that promotes Christlike living, and tackles real world problems from a Christian perspective.

In the background of this video is a song that I've already made with this purpose in mind.

From the beginning, I've been taking my goals seriously. Money has become the sole barrier.

Again, if I had done the due diligence to research these things a long time ago, I might not be in this situation.
