Hi everyone, my name is Aisha, and I am fundraising to cover costs for my fur baby Marley James's hip surgery and recovery.

On Thursday night (July 28, 2022), Marley was being his usual energetic, playful, and goofy self and injured himself quite badly. After 24+ hours, two hospital visits, and surgery (July 30, 2022), he is finally back home and resting. His vets informed me that some Pomeranians develop very fragile hip joints, which can be extremely easy to dislocate or tear. Unfortunately, Marley's injury led to him popping his hip out and up, and he needed two ball joints replaced and a pin inserted.

As y’all know, Marley is the love/pain of my life, and I am so grateful he was able to have the surgery. Marley has been a lifeline to me during the pandemic; as a service animal, he helps me identify and prevent my panic attacks, and as my fur baby, he brings me so much joy. If I could describe Marley in three words, they would be empathetic, energetic, and mischievous.

I was a bit reluctant to create a go fund me; however any donation would mean the world to me as it would help me pay for his hospital bills which totaled over $10,000, and will also assist me with his physical therapy in the future.

The doctors and I are incredibly hopeful that Marley will regain 85-90% function and mobility, and he will be back to playing, jumping, running, and fetching the ball like the pro he is in no time.
