Hi everyone, my name is Evita fundraising for our rescued puppy, Marley, for his luxating patella surgery and lump surgery.

His surgeries are required to take away his pain to live a normal life. His condition worsens every week and the sooner we take action, the sooner he will be on road to recovery. He had a rough start in life and too young to suffer in pain, not to mention to be put down. Its only fair we give him a chance to live a good life he deserves. We are doing everything we can but unfortunately we do not have the financial to do the surgery immediately.

I am pleading for everyone to step in, every little bit helps, your action will create an impact to Marley's life and we cannot thank you enough for this.

A background on Marley, on September 2025, we found him in front of our building tied with electrical cable to a pole in a very bad condition. He was visibly neglected, very skinny, has a broken tail and a flared rib. His nails and nose were also painted purple, which we found very odd. It was visible he was hit, abused and starved. So we took him in and fed him, made him feel comfortable.

We took him to the vet and as he was not microchipped, we decided to adopt him. Vet told us he was about 4 or 5 months. We adopted him to give him the best life, not expecting the issues he would have down the line.

Just after Christmas we found him limping on his left leg, we took him to the vet to find he has luxating patella (knee keeps dislocating) and would require surgery. Doctor suggested we keep him calm with minimal activity for 3 weeks or so whilst being on anti-inflammatory medication, which his stomach didn't like, causing diarrhoea.

His condition got worse over time, some days we have to pop his knee back in more than 30 times in a day, other days it's slightly less. We kept him on limited activity and walks to avoid the knee getting worse. Then on the long weekend he started limping on the right leg as well. On 27 January we took him to the vet again and the vet advised his left leg is now considered severe and his right leg milder. Surgery will be required for both legs. If surgery is not done, vet guarantees he will have arthritis in the near future and hip problems.

Vet also said luxating patella is unusual on a dog his size, more common on smaller breeds. This condition Marley has could be from the abuse he faced before he found us.

On top of that, we saw a growing lump on his shoulder and I only noticed this is the beginning of the year as what seemed like a small pimple.

Vet advises us to do full body x-ray (under sedation) for his legs and lump removal surgery asap as it could be malignant. Surgery would the next step to take.

All the treatments, surgery, follow-ups and rehab would require at least $20,000.

We just recently got married and moved out. Marley's surgery is not something we accounted for. My husband, Vasili, and myself are both working individuals, we have reached out on different organisations to help alleviate the surgery cost, however as we are both employed we wouldn't qualify. To be honest, I am at a dead end hence I made this GoFundMe hoping the kindness of everyone can help our little family.

All we want is for Marley to be okay. We love him so much and cannot imagine our lives without him.
