My name is Nikole, and this is the hardest thing I’ve ever had to write. I’m reaching out with the heaviest heart and the deepest hope.

My 4-year-old Golden Retriever, Marley, was recently diagnosed with cancer—a devastating discovery I never expected at such a young age.

What started as a small lump turned into something much more serious. After numerous tests, scans, and biopsies, Marley was diagnosed with a mast cell tumor, an aggressive form of cancer that has already required surgery and will need ongoing treatment, including chemotherapy, radiation, regular follow-up imaging, specialized veterinary care, and supportive medications—all of which are critical if she’s to have a real shot at life.

Marley isn’t just a dog, she is a ray of sunshine who brings joy and happiness to every person and animal she meets. She lights up every room she walks into and rids all pain and suffering of those around her. She’s been by my side through the hardest moments of life, offering her loyalty, warmth, and goofy, tail-wagging love without ever asking for anything in return. She still greets me with kisses every morning, loves her belly rubs, and even after surgery, she tries to nudge her toys toward me to play. But now, Marley is the one who needs help. Despite the pain she’s in, Marley wants to live. And she has a real chance—but we can’t afford it alone.

The financial burden is overwhelming. The total cost of Marley’s life-saving treatment is estimated to be $12,000–$15,000, and it’s growing with every vet visit, every test, every urgent care decision we’re forced to make. Pet insurance has denied all coverage, and as much as I wish love could pay the bills—it just can’t.
