Here we are again! My poor Marley cannot catch a break. She has had her 2nd cancer diagnosis in 6 months. The first cancer (TVT) was cured . However, Marley was just diagnosed with a high-grade mast cell tumor with a mitotic index of 22. The cancer does not appear to have spread, but the oncologist has recommended 8 rounds of chemo. Her survival chances are uncertain. It could be one year, 3 years, or by miracle, never come back. She just finished treatment for 2 tick-borne illnesses. We have some insurance left, but I had to appeal the claim for cytology and her surgery as they said it was pre-existing. Her primary vet has amended their inaccurate records, so now we wait for the appeal to be completed ($2400 tied up). I know it’s a lot to ask, and I am so grateful for the help we got for her first treatment. I’ve been paying it forward with various organizational fundraisers and personal for folks struggling to pay vet bills. Any and all help is greatly appreciated. Estimate is $5242 and is attached.
