Dear friends, families, and compassionate strangers,

We are reaching out to you with hopeful hearts and a plea for urgent support. Our beloved Marley Case, a brave soul born with Epidermolysis Bullosa (EB), is facing some very challenging battles. Marley's unwavering spirit has inspired so many, and now is our chance to make a tangible difference in his life. We are humbly requesting your help in funding Marley's esophageal dilation procedure, which needs to be done in the USA and is a critical step towards his survival and well-being. He also needs to attend his first EB clinic visit where he finally gets to be seen by various specialists trained to address his unique and complex medical issues. They will help us determine his feeding options; whether multiple dilations or if a g-tube is needed.

Marley's Story:

Marley's journey has been one of remarkable strength and resilience and a testament to God's grace. Born in Kingston, Jamaica in 2014 with the rare genetic disorder, Epidermolysis Bullosa, causing his skin to be extremely fragile, Marley has faced numerous hardships and weathered storms uncommon for children his age. Touted, "the worst disease you never heard of ", EB causes his skin to blister and tear with even simple friction. He therefore has always needed to be in bandages and with no discovered cure, wound care management by us, his parents, have been the extent of the treatment he has had access to. Note too that while we have been blessed to see one of the best dermatologists in our country, Jamaica by and large simply does not have facilities or resources that can help our boy.

Despite the excruciating pain, incessant itchiness and at times horrifying 3 hour long bath and bandaging sessions, Marley's spirit remains unbreakable, illuminating the lives of everyone fortunate enough to know him.

The Urgency:

Currently, Marley is confronted with a pressing medical concern - the need for a critical esophageal dilation. This procedure is vital to alleviate Marley's swallowing difficulties, enabling him to receive proper nourishment and prevent potential complications. As mentioned in the video, his struggles to swallow has been persisting and has become worrisome. Time is of the essence, and we are rallying together to ensure Marley receives the care he urgently needs.
