Help Marley Fight Aplastic Anemia
In February 2024, after what we thought would be a routine pediatric checkup on 2/13, our beautiful 8-year-old daughter, Marley, was diagnosed with severe aplastic anemia—a rare and life-threatening condition—following a bone marrow biopsy. She was admitted to the hospital and has been receiving bi-weekly blood and platelet transfusions while preparing for a bone marrow transplant. During the time she has had a pic line on her arm since February and since being admitted now has a Port on her chest which will stay for at least the next year.
We are incredibly grateful that Marley’s 6-year-old sister turned out to be a perfect match, and on 4/14, she bravely donated her bone marrow at Golisano Children’s Hospital.
While the transplant was a blessing, Marley’s journey is far from over. She is now undergoing chemotherapy, and watching her endure the side effects—especially losing her hair—has been a heartbreaking reminder of how serious this fight really is.
As parents, we’ve done everything we can to manage the growing medical and daily living expenses, but the financial burden has become more than we can carry on our own.
We’re not a family that typically asks for help, but today—we truly need it. Any contribution, no matter the amount, will go directly toward Marley’s continued treatment and support for our family during this incredibly difficult time.
We continue to lean on our faith, holding tight to Philippians 4:6-7:
“Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God… and the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.”
From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for your kindness, your prayers, and your support. It means more than we can ever express.
