Asking for help doesn’t come easily for me, but life has taken an unexpected turn and I could truly use a hand right now.

Living off the grid in a school bus in Hawaii is no small feat—it takes resilience, creativity, and a lot of hard work. I was managing, doing my best to build a stable life, until everything shifted at once. I am left emotionally and mentally exhausted. My marriage is coming to an end, and circumstances beyond my control have left me as the sole source of income. On top of that, my vehicle was totaled, leaving me without transportation.

Here’s the hard truth: without a vehicle, I can’t get to work. And without work, I can’t get back on my feet. My Social Security income helps, but it simply isn’t enough to cover basic living expenses, let alone replace a car.

I’m not asking for a handout—I’m asking for a hand up. My goal is to raise enough for at least a down payment on a reliable vehicle so I can get to work, earn income, and work my way out of this difficult season. Transportation is the missing piece that stands between me and stability.
