My daughter, Ashlyn had to have an emergency C-Section on Sept. 8, 2022 at 27 weeks. The girls were not due until December 7, but her body was not listening. Ashlyn did have some complications but is now released and doing well. However, the twins are both in NICU. Melodie is in Tyler and Marlee was flown to Dallas because she was experiencing some additional complications. The babies will be in NICU for months. Ashlyn and Jacob also have a five-year-old that just started Kindergarten so this is going to be very hard on them physically, financially, and of course, emotionally. Ashlyn does get maternity leave but will only be making 60% of her salary and Dad will not be able to work full hours as he will be taking their son to and from school and staying with Melodie in Tyler. Ashlyn is now in Dallas at Children's with Marlee. They do have insurance but will have to pay 20% of a seven figure medical bill. They are going to struggle to pay for gas for the back and forth trips, lodging, food, and even mortgage. We are asking for any amount of help so that they can travel, eat and be able to keep their home and take care of their family. Insurance companies are ruthless these days and this will also go towards anything special in the NICU. There will be updates as the girls progress. Please help this family be able to take care of their precious new baby girls and get them home to their big brother!
