Help Marlee fight IMHA

Hi everyone, my name is Tiffany. This here is Marlee.

Marlee is our 7 year old beagle. She loves hiking, going on adventures, hiding soap, giving Dad kisses, and eating anything she can sneakily get her mouth on. Sadly, she was recently diagnosed with an autoimmune disease called Immune-Mediated Hemolytic Anemia also known as IMHA. According to the website Veterinary Partners, IMHA is the condition where the body’s immune system attacks and removes its own red blood cells, thus leading to severe anemia, an unhealthy yellow coloring of the tissues called jaundice or icterus as well as an assortment of life-threatening complications. Due to this diagnosis Marlee started immunosuppressants and had been taken to the vet a multiple times to check her blood work. Unfortunately last night her blood work showed signs of severe anemia and is currently at the Emergency Vet receiving a blood transfusion. She may need multiple transfusions depending on what her blood results show as time goes on.

My boyfriend and I will fight as hard as we can to give Marlee the veterinary care she needs to help her get healthy and feel happy and comfortable again. If you would like to help Marlee get the best care she needs, please donate or share her story. Thank you so much for any help you can give.
