Hello,

My name is Marlaina Thompson-Henry. Before I begin, allow me to thank you all for reading my story and connecting my family. My family and I have been blindsided by an unexpected medical emergency that has left me physically impaired and confined to a wheelchair. My once thriving family has lost not only our financial stability but also our sense of security.

We did have some saving set aside for a rainy day. those finances had been taking care of my little ones needs and have completely been expired.

On January 28th I suffered a severe brain injury/ aneurysm that nearly killed me and had me hospitalized for months. I was unconscious for about 2 months. When I awakened, I had barely remembered anything that i had gone through and I had no idea if just how different my life had became.

My children were no longer in our home. they are now living with family members. My vehicle had been repossessed the four months of me being hospitalized and unaware the payment weren’t made. My loved ones did get me temporary disability from my job. It stopped and I was then discharged from my job. All of these events combined with other life situations resulting from my brain injury has led me here. Led me to being completely vulnerable and transparent with complete strangers and asking for help from anyone that is willing to share their love with my family .

All funds donated will be used to secure immediate housing, to help with transportation to & from doctors appointments, and to help with storage and other fees acquired while I have been out of work. Funds will be used to assist with medical bills and also to help support my family including my teenage son and pre - teen granddaughter whom I have raised since she was born. Any amount that you are willing to contribute will be greatly appreciated and wisely used.
