My name is Mark and I'm trying to raise funds to help with getting into a new home for my family and me and help with legal fees to battle my landlord in court.

My fiancée and I have been living together at this address for almost 2 years together with our son and 3 fur babies. Altogether, my fiancée has resided at this address for going on 6 years, all along having a wonderful relationship with the landlord, even through unsolved grievances on the part of the landlord: bad electrical, flooring coming up in the home, and on top of that list is an almost 4-year wait on a remedy to a faulty septic system. The septic system would cause limited use of water in our home due to the septic tank backing up because of a bad leach field. At points, the water came back through the system in our home and flooded our living and dining room floors. Finally, after pleading for a remedy, we got our wish... only to receive a phone call from the landlord's son stating he was giving us a verbal 30-day notice to vacate the premises and he had nowhere else to go. When we called our landlord to verify, she threatened us and told us she was going to bury us in court. This after 6 years of zero real issues between any of us involved? In those six years, there was only one short payment which was worked out between us for a payment plan, and we paid full rent the following month. We can't figure out what caused her switch to flip. We have since received written emergency eviction papers stating the landlord needs access to her home.

In any matter, my family and I need to relocate ASAP, and at least make an attempt to defend ourselves in court. I don't feel we are deserving of the way we're being treated, but what's most important is our kid and the fur babies feel safe and have a place to call home. Any sort of help would be appreciated: donations, legal advice, anything. Prices here in NY are insane and I just don't see how we can pull this off. Both of us have full-time jobs; we do not expect all the work to be done for us, but we really need a win right now.
