Our beloved son, Marko Mihailović, has been facing a serious and long-standing health challenge. He has been diagnosed with a rare condition — Klippel-Feil syndrome — accompanied by severe instability where the skull meets the spine. Specialists have determined that the only viable treatment is a complex cervical spine fixation surgery.

This operation is urgently needed, as any delay carries a significant risk of sudden deterioration. Because of the cervical instability, there is a real danger of spinal cord injury, which could result in permanent disability or even be life-threatening.

Professor Dr. Atul Goel, a world-renowned pioneer in this field from Lilavati Hospital and Research Centre, Mumbai, has confirmed that he is ready to perform the procedure. According to Professor Goel, this surgery “could give Marko a new life.”

The estimated cost of the surgery and hospital care is 40,000 USD, an amount far beyond our family’s financial means.

Every contribution, no matter the amount, will bring us closer to giving Marko the chance he desperately needs. All donations will be used exclusively for medical, hospital, and necessary travel expenses.
