Help Markisa Beat Cancer and Save Her Life

Hi, my name is Inna, and I’m reaching out with a heavy heart to ask for help for my beloved 13-year-old kitty, Markisa.

Recently, she was diagnosed with two mammary tumors — one large and one smaller. To remove them, she needs a full double mastectomy, which involves surgically removing the entire mammary chain on both sides of her abdomen.

We’ve already managed to complete the first surgery — one full side was removed, leaving a long scar across her belly. She’s currently recovering from that procedure, but we’re now facing a second, equally major surgery to remove the other side. Without it, the cancer will continue to spread.

The cost of the first surgery was $1300, which we were barely able to cover, plus nearly $500 for the initial exam, X-rays, and diagnostics. The second surgery is scheduled for July 24, and it will cost at least the same — possibly more — along with an additional $500 for the biopsy and post-op care. Sadly, we simply can’t afford it right now.

To make matters even more difficult, we just learned that we’re being evicted from our current home, and now urgently need to find a new place to live. After covering the first surgery, we have no savings left, and we’re feeling completely overwhelmed — both emotionally and financially.

I came to the U.S. from Ukraine after the war began, with only my kitty by my side, hoping to build a safe life for both of us. Markisa may not be young anymore, but she’s still full of life — playful, affectionate, and endlessly loving. She’s been with me for 13 years, through everything. She’s more than just a pet — she’s family.

I truly believe that if we can get her through this second surgery, she’ll have many more happy years ahead.
