I lost my job at Sam's Club and never got paid for my last paycheck. Since then, I've been staying with my cousin just to have a roof over my head, and my car was taken by the police. Now I'm struggling to find work or get back on my feet. I'm not even from Michigan—I'm from Jackson, MS—so everything feels even harder being far from home. I never thought I'd be in this position, but I want to be honest about where I am right now.

The funds from this fundraiser will help me with housing and food, which are my biggest needs right now. Transportation would also help, but just having a safe place to stay and enough to eat would mean the world to me. I'm still waiting on my ID and Social Security card, which makes things even tougher, but I'm doing my best to get back on track.
