Support "I Had A Baby at 39: A Book for Parents Over 35"
Hi everyone!!!!
OMG I can't believe I'm actually typing this... it means this is really happening and I did it: I WROTE A BOOK!!!!!!!!!
Let's get some backstory and then we'll get into why I need YOU :-)
At 38 years old, I found out I was expecting and at 39 had my babygirl that you'll come to know and love as Lana Moon... she's the sweetest and the most darling I promise... on her good days ha!!!
Unfortunately finding out I was pregnant did not garner the loving responses I was expecting. There was a ton of backlash, ridicule and overall judgment and disdain at the fact I was older having a child. It was an absolutely depressing, confusing and heartbreaking time.
BUT on that journey I met so many women, men and couples that were past 35 and had or were having children and it was a beautiful thing!!!! Society tells us at that age it's too late but there are millions of us that are rewriting the "rules"... whatever those are!!! 35 and up is old!?!!!!! Uggghhh!!!!!!! SAYS WHO!!!!!!!!
So this book is a diary, journal, and love letter to the parents like myself and it's filled with the best information as far as certain doctors you want to make sure you have, tests that are essential during your pregnancy, checklists and so much more...
There's nothing out there like this so I'm really wanting it to be BIG in the best way!!!!!! I know it's going to help change conversations and I would love to see it in dr offices, bookstores, care packages, collaborations and one day: in OPRAH'S BOOK CLUB.
Why I Need Your Donations:

I have an estimated timeline of delivery of June 2025. It could be extended a few as this is my first time publishing and I'm unsure the number of copies I will have to print. I do have an initial budget and breakdown of costs:
-Hardback copy printing: $5800 (I'm going for the best quality...also dependant on amount raised/donated)
-Paperback printing: $2500 (dependant on amount raised/donated)
-Layout: $1600
-Editor: $1100
-Cover design: $1200
-Website design and development, domain, hosting: $1000
-Ads and micro influencer budget: $3000
-Social media manager: $2500
*Any remaining would be towards additional marketing and promotion/ads.
