Many of you already know that earlier this month, our fantastic friend and drummer for Something Stupid, Mark Valliere, was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis (MS); a debilitating and progressive disease with no known cure. The symptoms came out of nowhere and led to Mark spending roughly a week at Maine Medical Center followed by another week in a rehabilitation hospital. This disease has already severely affected his motor skills, preventing him from doing many things, which unfortunately includes his #1 passion in life, playing drums at shows.

In typical Mark fashion, he is facing this challenge with an extremely positive attitude. But the truth is, the road to recovery will be filled with ongoing rehab and medical bills.

If you know Mark, you know that he's one of the kindest and most supporting people you could ever be fortunate enough to meet. He's always got a smile on his face and kind words for anyone he encounters. When he's not playing in Something Stupid or spending time with his son, he's out supporting other local bands more than any other musician in the area.
