Mark Tourond needs our help!
Mark started experiencing flu-like symptoms in early November. As the symptoms grew worse, Mark went to the emergency room in early December and underwent numerous tests including CT scans, and X-rays.
We now understand that Mark has a strep infection in his bloodstream. This infection affects various areas of the body, and in Mark’s case, it has attacked his heart. Mark is currently receiving antibiotics every four hours throughout the day, intravenously, at Thunder Bay Regional Health & Sciences Centre. Once Mark is stabilized, which doctors anticipate will take four to six weeks, he may need to undergo heart surgery in Toronto.
The road to Mark’s recovery will be a long one. Doctors estimate the healing process could take up to six months or longer.
There is no doubt that Mark and his wife Angela will be tested physically, mentally, and financially during this time. Please consider donating to support Mark and Angela, during their time of need.
These funds will go directly to Mark and Angela so that they may lighten the financial burden of travel, lodging, and living expenses while Mark is unable to work.
