Help Mark Through Surgery and Recovery (Save Marks Ass)

Hi friends,

I'm reaching out with something that’s tough to talk about.

After years of living with constant pain, I was finally scheduled for a much-needed (and pretty invasive) surgery on July 16th. I’ve been dealing with this condition for a long time, and it’s severely impacted my day-to-day life. I was incredibly relieved to have a date on the calendar—and then, everything got delayed.

At my pre-op appointment, the doctor forgot to give me a required form for clearance, and now, because we're too close to the surgery date, it has to be postponed until fall. To make things worse, I now need a series of costly additional tests before they can even reschedule.

Here’s the kicker: I cleared my summer schedule, turning down a full month of work during my busiest season to prepare and recover. Now I’m stuck with no surgery, no work, and mounting medical bills. And the pain has gotten so bad, just getting through the day is a struggle.

Recovery is rough—about 3–4 weeks bedridden—so I won’t be able to work during that time either once it’s rescheduled.

As much as I hate asking for help, I’m in a tough spot and could really use some support to get through the next couple of months. Any contribution, big or small, will go toward covering basic living expenses, medical costs, and helping me stay afloat until I can get the surgery and heal.
