Help Mark Swallow and Walk Again
Donation protected
Hi, my name is Robyn and I am just one of many helping to raise funds and care for our dear friend Mark. He is always available when people need him; now he could use help due to a sudden and rare brain stem (ischemic) stroke on January 26. Imagine learning that with intensive rehabilitation you could regain abilities after a major stroke. And then learn that there are few to no resources available if you have no source of income and no medical insurance. That's the case with our dear friend, a self-employed restaurant equipment contractor who supported an important community niche by keeping prices affordable for mom-and-pop restaurants. He also donated his skills to build dog runs at animal shelters and a nonprofit organization's cabin property committee. The neurologists tell us the first 3 months are critical, and Mark's prognosis for regaining the ability to swallow and walk is good. However, the needed therapy is costly, even with health care insurance! Speech (dysphasia) therapy is needed to allow Mark to re-learn to swallow so he will not remain on a feeding tube. Physical therapy is needed so he can regain his walking balance and return to earning an income. With your giving heart will you join us in donating and sharing Mark's need with others? Together our gifts can help fund the outpatient therapy needed for Mark to make a full recovery.
