Mark has been diagnosed with stage 4 metastatic bone cancer. He now has tumors in his soft tissue, lymph nodes, lungs, and bones. Doctors have given him only a few months of quality time before symptoms begin. He has been blessed so far, not feeling much of the pain the doctors have described to him as “excruciating,” “unbearable,” and “inevitable” for this type of fast growing and fast spreading cancer.


But he’s a fighter.


A retired firefighter. A warrior dressed in the full armor of God for His kingdom and glory. A fighter for his family. For his wife and daughter. For his young grandsons and nephew. For all who love Mark and all who love God.


He will fight this with equal tenacity, strength, and faith. Faith much bigger than a mustard seed.


His doctors tell him that chemo and radiation would come with side effects and not enough time to make them worth it.


Mark and Rita have been led towards a group of doctors with a protocol that uses the science of nutrition, metabolism, and synergy to slow the progress of his cancer. This is our last hope. He will have to have extensive blood work on a regular basis, testing and scans, and some IV therapies that will easily run into the thousands of dollars per month. 

None of which is covered by insurance. 


This GoFundMe has been set up to help Mark and Rita with these expenses along with transportation to and from appointments, medical bills, medicine, food for the special diet Mark has been prescribed, and anything else that may help with his comfort or care.
 
To make matters worse, this is the second health crisis for Mark in the last few years. He suffered a stroke in  August 2018 that landed him in the ICU for several scary days. Any amount of financial support is so helpful and so appreciated.
