Hello,
Many of you know may know Mark Romo as the super friendly guy that used to work in the produce section at Cid's. He was a frontline worker for a whole year of the Covid-19 pandemic. He is such a hardworker and kind soul! Unfortunately, what many of you may not know is that Mark suffered a severe stroke at the end of March 2021 and lost much of his mobility on his left side. He also suffered vision loss. He had to go to inpatient rehabilitation for weeks and lost his employment at Cid's. He is slowly regaining some of his strength on his left side, but his left side is still very weak and he has other significant side effects from the stroke such as fatigue and memory loss and he cannot work at this time. Medicare will no longer cover occupational therapy sessions to help him regain his strength. With help, he is working on qualifying for disability benefits, but there is still a lot of paperwork that needs to be done to make that happen. In the meantime, he could use help paying his mortgage, bills, buying groceries and paying for medical expenses and for his caregiver who has been essential to his healing. If we raise enough money, perhaps he could even pay for private occupational therapy sessions so he can keep getting his strength back! No donation is too small and will be used to make sure Mark can stay safely in his home. Let's do this together to help Mark! Thank you for your help!
Sincerely,
Friends of Mark Romo
