Help Mark Replace His Car
My dear friend, Mark Bracken, suffered the total loss of his vehicle during the severe storm that passed through Chicago last week.
His car was parked on the rental property where he lives. A large tree, also on the property, fell on his vehicle. As you can see, the rear window was obliterated, but more impactfully, the frame itself was crushed. The vehicle is completely inoperable.
The total cost of repairs exceeds the value of his vehicle. His insurance is not comprehensive, and will not cover it. His landlord’s homeowners insurance also will not cover it. He has exhausted all of his options.
Mark still owes a significant amount on the loan for this vehicle. He has no choice but to continue paying the loan, which does not afford himthe ability to purchase a new car.
Mark is a wonderful teacher, and a talented theater artist. A life in the arts can be rewarding in many ways, but financial is not one of them. He works very hard to earn a living, teaching highschool students and producing theater around Chicago. All of this requires reliable transportation.
if we can help Mark pay off this totaled vehicle, he will be able to finance a newer one.
Mark is a genuine, beautiful human. I know things have been difficult for everyone this year. Any amount to help ease his burden would be so graciously appreciated.
