Help Mark Overcome Financial Hardship After Illness

Hello all, I am Mark and to be honest, this request is the hardest thing I have ever done. My story starts 14 years ago, on January 10, 2010, when I woke up paralyzed from the chest down. It was due to a diabetic ulcer my doctor didn't know how to care for. It was a financially very difficult time, but I re-learned to walk and found ways to support myself through the financial hard times. I didn't seek either help like this or government help. Through Covid, I made it with a PPP loan. I am independent and self-sufficient. Fast forward to July 29, 2024, I became very ill, didn't realize how ill until I fell and the paramedics came and insisted I go to the hospital. I was admitted with bacterial pneumonia and sepsis. It has now been 19 days in with hopeful release on the 20th day depending on my kidneys which were damaged by the sepsis but are healing.

Now the ask. During the past 19 days, I have not been able to work at all. As a self-employed person, I don't qualify for SDI. I am applying for Social Security disability but that will take too long. I have insurance but my share will be significant. I also need help with my monthly bills. With no money coming in, I am in a real bind. So while I hate to ask, any help anyone could give would be greatly and forever appreciated.
