My name is Mark Hamrick.
On August 21, 2025, my life changed in a way I never imagined, I suffered a stroke. This photo shows where I am today. I’ve made progress, more than my doctors expected, and for that I’m deeply grateful. But recovery takes time. They’ve told me I may be unable to work for 8 to 12 months.
I’ve always been the one who provides for my family. Asking for help doesn’t come easily. Over the past few months, I’ve used every bit of my savings just to keep up with rent and basic bills. Those funds will run out by November 1.
Right now, my biggest worry isn’t myself, it’s my family. They live with me, and I’m doing everything I can to stay strong for them while my body heals.
This experience has taught me humility in a way words can’t fully explain. It’s a lesson that comes with a heavy cost, but one I’ve accepted.
If you’re able to help in any way, through a donation or even sharing this, it would mean more than I can express. Your kindness would help keep a roof over our heads and give me the space to focus on recovery without the constant fear of losing everything.
Thank you for taking the time to read my story. From the bottom of my heart, thank you for any support you can give.
