I’m dedicating this fundraiser to my best friend and father Mark, who has a heart condition that constantly creates blood clots resulting in him having three strokes.

My father's strokes have caused aphasia and put him in a condition where he needs hip surgery. Sadly, he could no longer work as a truck driver, leaving him jobless and soon after homeless and he moved in with our family.

Recently we were informed that he qualifies for a surgery called "the watchman". This surgery can stop the blood clots making it safe for a hip surgery, while also drastically dropping the chance of a future stroke. This process could give him his life back, a chance to work again, and a shot at not living every day in fear of another stroke.

We ask for your help for my father Mark. He will have to relocate away from my home and rent near the hospital that is located in another state. His surgery is covered by a state program, but after medications there won't be enough for living expenses. The hospital will need to see him regularly over a twelve month process. At the end of that challenging recovery period, he will have a chance again.
