Hi,

My name is Rena Kelly and I am setting this go fund me up for my 8 year old son. Mark was born in 2016. He he was born with spinabifidia hydrocephalus Chiara 2 malformation.

When Mark started schools he started having a hard time around 1st grade. He would come home pale weak and sick. His little body could only handle about 3 days a week safely. He tried for a few years but his body got weaker and weaker. Teachers informed us he doesn't fit into there box and he's not cut for public school and they are incapableof dealing with his medical needs.

We were also informed he couldn't continue his school until we had a diagnosis on why he kept getting so sick.

Fast forward 2 years and we finally found our he has hypoglycemia. We are also finding out its due to his liver not his pancreas.

Hypoglycemia is where his blood sugars drop down to a dangerous level. Normal range is between 90-150 he drops as low as 42.

After working through that and monitoring his #'s and doing alot of research we finally thought we had it figured out. Until our last appointment with his endo. Where it's looking like he has hyper and hypoglycemia. He can't be treated like a diabetic because he can't have insulin being hypoglycemic.

So that's why it's so important for me to be on top of his #'s. And I have been doing so with his dexcom. But dexcom runs about 15 minutes behind and doesn't allow me to accurately treat him.

So that is why I am here setting up this go fund me. To help us get him a service dog that we can take wherever we go. And can beat his dexom and help treat him sooner and not allow him to get so sick.
