Help Mark Winslett's Wish Come True

Many of you know Mark Winslett as "FreeBird1716" on AU message boards. As you know, he's had serious health issues for years, requiring several major surgeries and lengthy hospital stays (a full liver transplant, two heart attacks, plus others to name a few - and that's just since 2010). When Mark was diagnosed with his bad liver, he had to quit work when he was too young to retire. It took 2 years to get disability set up. They had 2 kids in college. Many of his drugs were not covered by insurance so they would spend hundreds of dollars a month on medicines. They lost their home. They've exhausted their savings. They lost his life insurance and haven’t been able to get more since. But, they still did the best they could.
Recently his health has taken a sharp turn for the worse and his condition is dire. He was diagnosed in mid-April with stage 4 pancreatic cancer and it's spreading very aggressively. Sadly, it's not treatable, and they are just trying to keep him comfortable.
Mark has always been a giver - If anyone had a sick child he would take up money for them. He raised money for a coworker's child to go to get a bone marrow transplant. A friend lost their 3 year old in an accident, and he organized a bowling tournament to raise funds to buy a headstone. He used to go to a curb market in Cahaba Heights and get their almost outdated vegetables, then took them to Firehouse shelter in Birmingham. Now it's his turn to be on the receiving end.
Mark's wish is that his beloved wife Debbie get some relief from all the medical expenses that have piled up and keep coming in. Debbie is the love of his life. They were high school sweethearts, and remain as crazy about each other today as they were then. Both are retired now. They have faced some very tough medical battles in the past, and just don't seem to get a "breather". In addition to Mark's medical situation, they have also opened their home to her elderly mother and another family member, adding more responsibility when they least need it. However, they could now use our help.
Mark had reached out to me recently and asked that I set this up in order to help his beloved wife and family. There is no bigger Auburn fan than Mark - he knows that his Auburn Family has a huge heart and hopes they will be willing to help. Debbie, their daughter Allison, and their son Gary are all devastated and overwhelmed at this latest hit. Your donations will help defray massive hospital bills, home health care bills, dialysis treatments, prescription costs - and it will also help relieve some of the stress and worry that his wife and family are experiencing and will continue to experience as this journey continues.
I have witnessed the generosity of the broader community at times such as this and am hopeful that this site provides a convenient way for family and friends to support Mark and his family during this latest medical crisis and afterwards. And as Mark would say, I AIN'T TAKIN' NUTTIN' BUT A WIN!!!!!
Thank you.
