Our son Mark is 7 years old. He is a kind, curious, and loving child who is currently nonverbal and has global developmental delay. Although he cannot speak, he understands much more than he can express, and we see every day how much he wants to connect with the world around him.

For Mark to develop and reach his potential, he urgently needs consistent, daily support — including speech and language therapy, sensory integration, and specialized educational sessions. These therapies are essential to help him communicate, learn, and gain independence.

In the UK, access to free, consistent support for children with complex developmental needs is extremely limited. Private therapy costs at least £100 per session, which adds up to around £2,000 per month for the level of support Mark needs.

As a family of four living on a limited income, we are unable to cover these costs on our own.

We are hoping to raise £48,000 to fund two years of intensive therapy for Mark. This period is critical for his development — with the right support now, he has a real chance to make significant progress and improve his ability to communicate and interact with the world.
