We are heartbroken to need to share this post. Our baby brother Mark Deines is in need of our love and support. He went in for a colonoscopy and during the procedure they perforated his bowel. They life flighted him to Scottsbluff, NE to repair his colon. After the surgery he began having seizures and had multiple strokes. He was again life flighted to a hospital in the Denver area. It's been determined that damage from the strokes is severe impacting a large part of his brain on both sides and the frontal lobe. The prognosis is very poor. We are working to get Mark back to Nebraska where he will have the support of his family and will be going on hospice.

His insurance does not pay for the 5 hour ambulance ride back to Nebraska. He will have multiple medical bills as well. And we will need to make final arrangements. We are all in shock...this was all so unexpected. Anyone who knows Mark knows what a kind, thoughtful man he is. We are so proud of the way he turned his life around. He has been supporting our dad since our mom's death and is always willing to help others.
