Help Mark & Davina Return to Dragon Con

Hello friends, family, and fellow cosplayers,

I’m reaching out today with a heartfelt request. As many of you know, Dragon Con (a massive annual sci-fi cosplay convention in Atlanta) has been a significant part of my life for years, and it's where my journey as an event producer truly began (via Markster Con ). This year, my girlfriend Davina and I are hoping to return to this incredible event, but we need your help to make it possible - Dragon Con is just two weeks away so we are scrambling to try to pulls funds together to make this return trip possible.

Why Dragon Con is So Important to Us

• When I lived just outside of Atlanta, attending Dragon Con was easy and affordable. It was during those years that I hosted annual private themed parties with friends under the name CON-tourage (in one of the larger private suites in the Hyatt), which eventually inspired me to start Markster Con Productions. Through Markster Con, I’ve had the privilege of meeting and connecting many amazing people, many of whom have met life-long friends with some even finding their future spouses at my events. Dragon Con isn’t just a convention for me; it’s where my passion for event production and Markster Con was born. It’s a place filled with memories, friendships, and inspiration.

Now that I live in Richmond, Virginia, attending Dragon Con is a much bigger challenge. The 8-hour drive, along with the costs of travel, lodging, and badges, makes it difficult for us to afford the trip. Davina, who is new to the cosplay world but a veteran burner (having attended Burning Man twice), hasn’t had the chance to fully experience the magic of Dragon Con. This event is special to both of us, and it would mean the world to return together.

Why We Need Your Help

• As self-employed individuals, we face financial challenges, and the costs associated with attending Dragon Con this year are more than we can manage on our own. We’re asking for your help to raise funds for travel, accommodation, and badges so we can reunite with our Atlanta friends and the community that means so much to us.

What Dragon Con Means to Us

• Dragon Con isn’t just a convention – it’s family. It’s the place where I’ve made lifelong friendships, where my career as an event producer was sparked, and where I’ve seen countless connections and love stories begin. Returning to Dragon Con feels like coming home, and I want to share that experience with Davina and reconnect with all of you.
