Help Mark Coniglio Fight his Battle with Leukemia

In January of this year Mark was diagnosed with a very aggressive Bone Marrow Cancer, Acute Myeloid Leukemia (AML) and he has certain genetic mutations that make this fight particularly hard. He received treatment near his home in Metairie, LA but was told that they were out of options and that his best chance would be to travel to MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, Texas. Mark recently went to MD Anderson for 1 week of testing and returned home. They would like Mark to return for treatments over the next several months. The first of these treatments would require him to stay in Houston near MD Anderson for a minimum of 28 days. We estimate the cost of lodging, insurance copays, food and transportation to be about $6,000 a month. Unfortunately the cost of fighting this disease is extremely high. Mark is no longer able to work and as we all know the bills still keep coming in.

****New Update!!!***** This is from Mark currently at MD Anderson 10/8/21:  Hey ma baby here’s a couple of pictures. Ok the news is, bad news is the blast went up from 5% to 25% but the doctors not worried the good news is all blood numbers are going in the right direction, he said they look good. Still need treatment, my next biopsy and clinical labs is on the 18th. ❤️ 

So this means he has to go back for more treatments and needs help with medical bills, lodging, food, and gas. Please help and share so we can try to keep him here as long as possible and always hope for a cure!

For those of you who do not know Mark, he is an amazing person, devoted husband and father of 3 wonderful sons. He is a born and bread New Orleans Chef. To know Mark is to love him, people are just drawn to his amazing personality. He has never me a stranger in his life.
