Help Mark & Carmen Ainsworth Through Tough Times

Hi, my name is Ronda and I am raising funds on behalf of some dear friends, Mark & Carmen Ainsworth. I have known Carmen for nearly 30 years and Mark since they married. They are remarkable people who unfortunately are dealing with some medical issues at this time. Mark was recently diagnosed with a rare disease, CIDP - Chronic Inflammatory Demyelinating Polyneuropathy. It is a rare condition that occurs when myelin surrounding the peripheral nerves is mistakenly attacked by the immune system. Symptoms impact many parts of the body, but most notably the feet and hands, making day-to-day life challenging.

Mark is receiving infusion treatments for this condition, but it's unknown if it will go into remission. Since the diagnosis, Mark is unable to work at this time. He has applied for long-term disability, but it could be several months before they receive benefits. This GoFundMe is short-term to help with their financial obligations such as their mortgage, until the disability begins. Mark's condition is financially difficult with the loss of income, and Carmen is also facing knee surgery at the beginning of December.
