Hi everyone, Mark Burton is a great friend of mine. He is one of many who has lost everything in the Lismore Flood. He was recently rescued from the ceiling of his house with only the shirt on his back.

He has personally helped me over many decades through thick and thin. He was there when I lost my wife to cancer and is always there to help with small practical things like fixing my door latch. I have watched him help many friends and strangers in our local community.

In the floods, he lost thousands of dollars worth of sound gear he would set up for free for friends' parties, birthdays, weddings and funerals. He lost extensive and expensive computer, camera, film, and audiovisual gear he used professionally and for community events. He lost all his tools and equipment used for solar installation and other work. And all his clothes, beds, furniture, artworks, books, paperwork are gone.

He had no insurance, as it's way too expensive to insure anything in a flood zone.
