Hello, my name is Krissi Lawrence and I’m asking for support for my brother-in-law, Mark Duplissis. He was hospitalized and diagnosed in April 2025, the day after his daughters wedding, with Myelodysplastic Syndrome with Fibrosis (MDS-F) and is in need of a bone marrow transplant as it is the only cure for MDS-F/Acute Leukemia.

It has been 4 months of traveling to the Mayo Clinic in Scottsdale, AZ for doctor visits, hospital stays, chemotherapy, blood and platelet transfusions, and uncertainty. Mark and Heather recently traveled to Duarte, CA to City of Hope Cancer Center for an evaluation and will be moving forward with a clinical trial there for a bone marrow transplant as they have protocols for transplant with active leukemia, unlike Mayo. This will require Mark and Heather to be in California for 3-4 months until he recovers enough to get back home to Arizona where he can continue visits at COH in Phoenix. This will be a long road for the Duplissis Family and we are hopeful it will give Mark a second chance at life.
