I’m reaching out on behalf of my dear friend Marjory, someone who brings so much light and kindness into the lives of everyone around her.

Marjory has been living with endometriosis, a condition that affects 1 in 10 women for the last several years. Endometriosis happens when tissue similar to the lining of the uterus grows outside of it, which can cause inflammation and serious complications if left untreated. It’s a condition that’s often misunderstood, and many women go years without the care they truly need.

Marjory now has the opportunity to receive a specialized excision surgery. This is the gold-standard treatment that can greatly improve her quality of life and help her move forward with comfort, and stability and less chronic pain. This surgery is an essential step in her healing.

Unfortunately Marjory’s endometriosis is growing on her nervous system causing a lot of pain along with loss of mobility. The overall health of her organs but specifically her ovaries are being affected deeply by adenomyosis which can affect her fertility and is causing chronic pain and inflammation. Her and her family have done extensive research to find a surgeon who can work on removing as much endometriosis tissue even on her nerves and because of this, the procedure costs $16,000 out of pocket, and insurance does not cover it. Additionally, Marjory will need to take time off work to recover. Further burdening her financially.
