This year has been one of the hardest years of Mariya’s life. Her dad passed away, and he was her protector, her biggest supporter, and the man who showed up for everything. He raised her to be strong, beautiful, and confident — and he never missed moments that mattered. Prom is on May 22 at the Gaylord, and this is her last year of school. Normally, this would be one of those moments where her dad would make sure she had the perfect dress, the perfect shoes, the perfect everything. He would have walked her out proudly, reminding her how beautiful she is and how much she’s loved. But this year feels different. Mariya has had a very hard year emotionally. Losing her dad has taken a piece of her joy. She hasn’t been herself. As her mom, I’m doing everything I can to keep things together, but financially things have been rough since his passing. I am not sending this to everyone — only to those who loved him and who love Mariya. If you feel led to help us give her a beautiful prom experience — whether it’s toward her dress, shoes, makeup, jewelry, hair, or transportation — it would mean more than you know. This isn’t just about a dress. It’s about reminding her that even though her daddy isn’t here physically, the people who loved him are still here for her. If you can’t give, please keep her in your prayers as she steps into this milestone without her father by her side. Thank you for loving her. With gratitude, Monique
