Hi there. Let me introduce you to my 16 year old twin daughters, Marissa and Deana. After years of hard work, dedication and sacrifice they have been selected to join the Australian Cadet Judo team and to represent AUSTRALIA in their very first International tournament at the PanAmerican Oceania Championships, to be held in Peru, in April this year. They have both been doing judo since the age of 5 and currently train up to 5 times per week, whilst also attending school as year 11 students. The girls have held 7 National titles between them and have fought hard to earn their place on the Australian team. To be selected to represent NSW on the State team at the age of 8 was an honour in itself but having the even greater honour of being selected to represent Australia is such a huge achievement for them. The girls have a short term goal of making it to the Cadet World Championships in August of this year and a longer term dream of one day making a Commonwealth or Olympic games team. Travelling to these tournaments costs thousands of dollars for each trip and we are looking for some support to help the girls turn this dream into a reality, starting with their trip to Peru in April and the real possibility of up to 3 more International trips in 2022.
