Hi, my name is Mili, and I’m organising this fundraiser for Marisol — lovingly called Cholcita — whom I've known my whole life; she was my nanny and has always been like family to me.

Cholcita lost her home in the fires in Lirquén, in south-central Chile.

The town of Lirquén, which Cholcita loved so deeply, has been severely affected. Around 80% of the town is gone, and several people lost their lives.

She left her home town and moved to Santiago when she was young to work and provide for her family, dedicating her life to caring for people. She is a devoted mum, incredibly hardworking, warm, and endlessly generous. And now, everything she worked so hard for is gone.

She is currently staying with her son, a firefighter, who fortunately did not lose his home. He has opened his house to relatives, family friends, and loved ones who also lost everything in the fires.

Marisol is devastated, and she and her family need support. With no insurance, and with all her family and friends in the same situation, there’s no one who can step in to help. Marisol and her family have worked hard to provide for themselves and make ends meet. Now, with everything gone, they have to completely rebuild their lives. Please hear this: any donation, no matter how small, will make a real difference for a family starting from scratch.
