Help Marisol Get Life-Saving Heart Surgery

To know great pain is to know immense love, and when you are confronted with losing the one thing that you love the most, you understand this message deep within your soul. I would've never imagined loving a dog the way I love my Marisol. She has truly been my biggest blessing and gift in this life. She is my baby, my best friend, and my family.

This year, my life abruptly changed when I learned my dog has congestive heart failure. This has presented me with many challenges and has been an emotional roller coaster with 7 near-death collapses, in and out of ER hospitals, vet appointments, tests, outsourcing medications from other countries, and cardiologist visits. It has been heavy, but I am her mommy and protector, and I must keep on fighting. Life has become simpler, and we have enjoyed many sweet moments along the way.

Unfortunately, a recent procedure revealed a second tear forming in her valve, and the only chance I have to save her life is to do a full valve heart replacement as soon as possible. A team from China will be brought in to do this very technical medical procedure. Marisol will be given a chance to add years and quality back to her life. It is a risk I am willing to take.

I have faced an enormous financial blow and covered $15,000 plus in medical bills already. I am asking my friends and family to help ease some of the burden to help with the cost of her heart surgery scheduled in December. It is not easy to ask for help sometimes, but this is a cause that means the world to me. Anyone that knows Marisol knows that she is the most loving little soul. She is special, and I just want to see my baby run and swim in the ocean again. She still has so much life in her.

I have learned through my experiences the power of community. Alone, we can do little, but together we can do so much more. I truly believe this.
