My name is Richard Patterson, and I am a 75-year-old disabled war veteran who recently experienced a devastating loss. On February 22, 2025, my beloved wife, Mari, passed away unexpectedly. Her absence has created an unbearable void in the lives of not only me but our daughter, who has autism.

As we navigate this challenging time, the burden of our grief is compounded by our financial struggles. With a very low income, we are facing an impossible situation—being unable to afford the service of giving Mari the final resting place she deserves alongside her father in California.

We all deeply desire to honor our loved ones and preserve their memories. Mari would want nothing more than to be laid to rest with her father, but the costs associated with it are simply beyond our means. It pains us to think of her ashes sitting on a shelf, away from her family, whom she'd want to be buried with.
