Hi hi, Marion here~

A lot of you know me as a photographer in New York. I'm usually around documenting my queer Asian American community, my Filipinx activist community, and other QTBIPOC happenings!

I'm making this GoFundMe because I am going through a major shift in my life: I came out as trans almost a year ago now (my trans anniversary is on the 1st day of Leo szn!) . While I am truly so happy to be living my truest self, coming out forced me to dissolve support systems that no longer fit me, the biggest one being: I left my relationship of 10 years and am now living alone for the first time in my life.

 

Trying to rebuild a life as an artist/freelancer in the middle of the pandemic is very expensive. To be honest, I never recovered financially from the COVID-19 NY lockdown and I've been underemployed since January. I burned through my savings and now need help securing funds for the next month while I wait to hear back from potential jobs. 

 

Money donated will help me pay for rent, bills, food, and therapy as I continue to apply for full-time employment.
I might also get like a microwave??? No one told me single gorls need a microwave ! 

 

My ultimate dream is to be able to open my home up to my fellow Filipino community organizers so I can host meetings, create a lending library, maybe host lil' meditation sessions and art hangs!
