Hello, my name is Mario Ortega and I am currently fighting lung cancer—the hardest battle of my life. While I am doing everything I can to stay strong, this illness has taken more than just my health. Because I have not been able to work during treatment, I lost my vehicles. Now I am facing something even more devastating: I am at risk of losing my home. I never imagined that while fighting for my life, I would also be fighting to keep a roof over my head.
